Let’s explore the first full-length studio album (or “Large Scripture”) from Japan’s unique demonic heavy metal emissaries, Seikima-II (聖飢魔II). This is “The End Of The Century,” released on the Fitzbeat label (CBS/Sony) with the catalog number 15AH2017. This rekease includes the original obi strip.
Issued on April 2, 1986, this 12-inch vinyl LP followed their explosive 1985 debut mini-album. “The End Of The Century” expanded upon their initial impact, offering a full album’s worth of their signature sound and elaborate demonic concept. Produced by the band, it features the early lineup delivering powerful, traditional heavy metal.
This album is often seen as a culmination of their early material, featuring many songs penned by original (but non-performing) leader Damian Hamada.
