Let’s explore the third major studio album (or “Large Scripture”) from Japan’s theatrical heavy metal band, Seikima-II (聖飢魔II). This is “From Hell With Love” (地獄より愛をこめて), released on November 21, 1986, via the Fitzbeat label (CBS/Sony) with the catalog number 28AH2119. This particular copy includes the original obi strip.
Arriving the same year as their first full-length, “The End Of The Century,” this album showcased the band’s incredible productivity and marked a significant point in their early lineup. “From Hell With Love” was heavily influenced by guitarist Jail Ohbashi, who composed the music for the majority of the tracks, including the single “Adam no Ringo” (Adam’s Apple).
Produced by the band and recorded at Kannonzaki Marine Studio and CBS/Sony Shinanomachi Studio, the album features a powerful heavy metal sound, deeply infused with Jail Ohbashi’s distinct, perhaps more American-influenced rock style.
