Let’s explore the landmark debut album from one of Japan’s most celebrated ‘Yōshikibi’ (melodic/neoclassical) heavy metal bands, Terra Rosa. This is “The Endless Basis,” released in December 1987 on the independent Mandrake Root Records label with the catalog number 28MR-LP-011. This particular copy retains its original outer shrinkwrap with the obi/sticker intact.
This 12-inch vinyl LP marked the arrival of a band that would become synonymous with the keyboard-heavy, neoclassical-influenced, and often female-fronted style of heavy metal popular in the Japanese underground.
