Let’s focus on another potent release from the vast international discography of Japan’s legendary Sabbat. This is their 2003 album “Karmagmassacre,” released in the US on R.I.P. Records with the catalog number D&L 16.
This CD, produced by the band, captures Sabbat delivering nine tracks of their signature raw, uncompromising black/thrash metal. The album was remastered by Mike Sheffield for this US release, which is also noted for featuring the track “Plasmas Goat” (in place of a track found on other versions).
“Karmagmassacre” features the core lineup of Gezolucifer (vocals, bass), Temis Osmond (guitar), and Zoregullion (drums) blasting through heavy anthems like “The Answer Is Hell,” “I’m Your Satan,” “Demonic Serenade / Brothers Of Demons,” “In League With Devils,” and “Satanasword.”
D&L 16 stands as a key 2000s release for Sabbat’s American fanbase, housed in a jewel case with an 8-page booklet, and delivering another essential dose of their pure “Blacking Metal” assault.
