A fascinating and rare document of Show-Ya’s international activities is the focus for this entry. We are looking at their 1988 7-inch, single-sided promotional EP, “L.A.Live / 1988. 4.27 100Live Vol.1,” released on the Eastworld label with the catalog number BRT-4009.

This 33 ⅓ RPM vinyl was not a commercial release but a promotional item, making it a highly sought-after collector’s piece.

The record features a single track, a hard-rocking live medley recorded on April 27, 1988, at the legendary The Roxy club in Los Angeles. The medley consists of three classic rock covers: “You Turn Me Over,” “Whole Lot Of Rosie” (AC/DC), and “Train Kept A Rollin’.”

This release captures the classic Show-Ya lineup (Terada, Igarashi, Nakamura, Senba, and Tsunoda) performing with raw energy in front of a US audience, perfectly showcasing their power as a live hard rock band. BRT-4009 stands as a unique snapshot of their international activities during that period.
