Let’s spotlight another release from the high-energy Japanese heavy metal band Action!. This is their 1986 album, “Warning In The Night,” released on the Philips label (Nippon Phonogram) with the catalog number 28PL-116.
Issued on March 5, 1986, this 12-inch vinyl LP captures the band, led by Yoshiro Takahashi, delivering their signature brand of high-energy hard rock. The sound is often described as a “power hard-pop” style, showcasing their polished musicianship—a band noted for their skill, even serving as a support act for Rainbow.
Produced by the band with co-producer Masayuki Nomura, the album features nine tracks, including “Bowy 1984,” “Roll Over Junk Lady,” “100,000 Volt,” and “Make You Crazy,” all delivering their potent rock sound. Recorded at Kannonzaki Marine Studio and mixed at Studio Birdman, the album captures their polished studio approach.
The release originally came with a double-sided fold-out insert, and some copies also included a band logo sticker sheet. 28PL-116 stands as another solid entry from Action!’s prolific mid-80s period, showcasing their powerful and melodic approach to heavy rock.
