Union’s All-Star Live Set: ‘Live In The Galaxy’ Cloudy Purple Vinyl (DEKO 1089-1)

Today’s entry features a powerhouse performance from one of the most underrated hard rock supergroups of the late 90s. We are examining the 2023 Remastered Reissue of Live In The Galaxy by Union, released by Deko Entertainment with the catalog number DEKO 1089-1.

A Hard Rock Summit

Originally recorded in 1999 at the Galaxy Club, this album captures the raw energy of a band composed of rock royalty. Fronted by John Corabi (The Scream, Mötley Crüe) and featuring guitarist Bruce Kulick (KISS), the lineup is rounded out by bassist James Hunting (David Lee Roth) and drummer Brent Fitz (Slash).

The setlist is a dream for fans of 90s hard rock, blending Union originals like “Old Man Wise” with classics from the members’ pasts. Highlights include blistering versions of KISS tracks “Jungle” and “I Walk Alone” (sung by Kulick), the heavy groove of Mötley Crüe’s “Power To The Music,” and a soulful acoustic cover of The Beatles’ “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away.”

Limited Edition “Cloudy Purple” Pressing

This 2023 edition gives the live album a stunning visual upgrade:

- Cloudy Purple Vinyl: The double album is pressed on a beautiful Cloudy Purple wax.
- Remastered Audio: The audio has been remastered for vinyl, ensuring the live atmosphere punches through the speakers.
- Hype Sticker: This copy retains the original hype sticker on the shrink wrap, confirming the limited color variant.

It is a vibrant celebration of a band that bridged the gap between 80s arena rock and 90s alternative grit.
