Let’s explore the major label debut from the theatrical and dark Japanese heavy metal band Sabbrabells. This is “Sailing On The Revenge,” released on June 5, 1986, via the Nexus label (King Records) with the catalog number K28P-630. This releasey includes the original obi strip.
Following their highly regarded independent releases (a self-titled album in 1983 and the “Dog Fight” EP in 1985), “Sailing On The Revenge” marked the band’s anticipated major label debut and second full-length album overall. Sabbrabells had already built a formidable reputation in the underground with their unique, dark, theatrical style and impressive live shows.
Produced by the band themselves, this 10-track album delivers their signature sound, blending traditional heavy metal power with a dark, often menacing atmosphere and a unique vocal style.
