A deep cut from the international catalog of Japan’s legendary Sabbat is the focus for this entry. We are looking at their 2000 album, “Satanasword,” released on the dedicated German label Iron Pegasus Records with the catalog number I.P.010.
This CD, produced by the band, captures Sabbat’s signature raw and powerful sound, blending black metal and traditional heavy metal. Recorded and mixed in 2000 at I.M.I. Light Inc. and mastered at Witch’s Mill Studio, the album delivers eight tracks of uncompromising metal.
The songwriting is handled by the band’s core, with tracks like “Charisma,” “Angel Of Destruction,” and the epic 13-minute “Nekromantik” penned by Gezol, while Temis contributed “Death Zone,” “The Gate,” and the CD bonus track, “Jealousy Carnage.”
I.P.010 stands as another essential document of Sabbat’s prolific output, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the international black/heavy metal underground.
