Let’s focus on another release from the Japanese “Yōshikibi” (neoclassical) heavy metal band Precious. This entry highlights their 1988 7-inch single, “Blasting Your Head,” released on the independent Mandrake Root Records label with the catalog number 10MR-7-014.
This 33 ⅓ RPM vinyl arrived after their legendary “Crazy For Your Love” single, showcasing a new lineup for the band. This release features Eiji Fukagawa on vocals and Kenji Kanemitsu on drums, alongside core members Akira Kajiyama (guitar), Michael Hammer (bass), and Shogo Sato (keyboards).
The single features two tracks:
A: Blasting Your Head
B: Black Mad Space
This record continues to showcase the band’s potent, melodic, and technical heavy metal sound, built around the virtuosic guitar work of Akira Kajiyama. “Blasting Your Head” (10MR-7-014) is another essential piece for collectors, documenting the evolution of this high-quality band within the vibrant 80s J-Metal underground scene. The original release came with a lyric insert.
