Hailing from the vibrant Osaka underground, this entry focuses on the debut release from the Japanese thrash metal band Riverge. We are looking at their self-released first 7-inch single, “Till I Die ……”
Issued in 1986 on the band’s own Head Lose Records label, this 45 RPM vinyl (catalog number HLR-001) served as the band’s powerful introduction to the thrash scene.
The single features two tracks:
A: Till I Die
B: Hungly Child
Recorded at Sub Rock Studio in Osaka in August 1986, this 7-inch captures the raw, energetic, and aggressive sound of early Japanese thrash. HLR-001 stands as a crucial document of the burgeoning Kansai thrash metal movement and a highly sought-after item for collectors of classic Japanese metal.
