A Message from the Heart of Metal: Marino’s ‘From All Of Us To All Of You’ (SM28-5418)

Today’s entry focuses again on the third studio album from the classic Japanese heavy metal band Marino, titled “From All Of Us To All Of You” (often referred to as Marino 3). This 12-inch vinyl LP was released on SMS Records with the catalog number SM28-5418. This particular copy includes the original obi strip.

Issued on July 21, 1985, this album arrived during the peak years of the Japanese heavy metal explosion, following Marino’s successful first two albums. “From All Of Us To All Of You” continues to showcase the band’s signature blend of powerful, melodic heavy metal and hard rock.

Produced by the band themselves alongside Gerd Rautenbach, and notably recorded and mixed at the renowned Dierks Studios in Germany, the album boasts a high-quality, powerful sound. It delivers Marino’s characteristic combination of soaring vocals, impressive twin-guitar work, a driving rhythm section, and anthemic songwriting across tracks like “Love Is Blind,” “Brave As A Lion,” and the title track.

The packaging for this release was also notable, featuring a die-cut outer sleeve and a custom inner sleeve with lyrics. SM28-5418 captures Marino operating at a high level, delivering another strong collection of classic J-Metal anthems. Its recording at an internationally acclaimed studio highlights the band’s ambition during the genre’s golden era. The presence of the obi strip makes this copy particularly complete for collectors.
