Today’s entry spotlights the twelfth studio album from the consistent Swedish melodic rock band, Last Autumn’s Dream. We are looking at the 2015 Japanese pressing of “Paintings,” released on the Avalon label (Marquee Inc.) with the catalog number MICP-11255. This particular copy comes complete with its original obi strip.
Released on December 16, 2015, this album arrived with a tagline referencing the 10th anniversary of their fan-favorite album “Winter in Paradise,” continuing the band’s tradition of releasing new music during the winter season. With original guitarist Andy Malecek still absent, Peter “Pac” Söderström continued to handle guitar duties, delivering a performance filled with the melodic, “crying” solos that are essential to the band’s sound.
“Paintings” is often cited by fans as one of the group’s most varied albums.
