A special collectible item from the classic era of Japanese heavy metal band PRESENCE is the focus for this entry. We are looking at their 7-inch flexi-disc for the track “Rock’N Roll,” released via Rockin’f magazine with the catalog number E-7977.
Issued in July 1987, this single-sided, 33 ⅓ RPM flexi-disc was not a commercial single but a free supplement (“furoku”) included with the popular rock magazine.
The disc features one track, “Rock’N Roll,” self-produced by the band. It showcases the classic PRESENCE lineup: Shigeru Nishikawa (vocals), Kazuhide Shirota (guitar), Yoshihito Onda (bass), and Hiroaki Okamoto (drums), delivering their signature polished and powerful melodic heavy metal sound.
Released in the same year as their major label debut album, this flexi-disc (E-7977) is a highly sought-after item for collectors, capturing the band at their peak and documenting their connection to the influential Rockin’f magazine.
