SHOW-YA still be hangin' on RT07-2110

A powerful 1988 single from Japan’s premier all-female hard rock band, Show-Ya, is the focus for this entry. We are looking at “愛さずにいられない – Still Be Hangin’ On,” released on the Eastworld label (Toshiba EMI) with the catalog number RT07-2110.

This 7-inch, 45 RPM single showcases the band’s polished, high-energy hard rock sound from their late 80s peak. The release features two tracks:

B: Get Down

The A-side is a powerful, melodic hard rock anthem. It’s a cover of a song originally written by Jonathan Cain (of Journey fame), adapted here with Japanese lyrics penned by Show-Ya’s powerhouse vocalist, Keiko Terada. The B-side, “Get Down,” is an original, hard-hitting rocker written by the band’s guitarist, Miki Igarashi.
